We’re still not out of the woods yet when it comes to festival cancellations. Whereas 2016 was marked by big name festival cancellations, 2017 is marked by smaller upstart festivals failing to get their footing before they even begin.
We told you yesterday that UpNorth Festival was telling fans to hold tight on a venue announcement with only 10 days left before the starting date. Today, it comes as little surprise that UpNorth officially announced its cancellation and refunds. Basically, the festival lost out on its original venue and failed to secure a backup venue in time due to the red tape involved in such planning. Thankfully, UpNorth is being up front about refunds being made available to all ticket holders. You can see the full announcement below.
