Oliver Heldens is inviting lyricists, singers, and artists to help him create his new track ‘Underwater Melon’.
The Deep House/Future House DJ has posted up the instrumental on his website and is asking for your input. ‘Underwater Melon’ is slightly different than his typical sound so much so that it seems to even have a trap flare to it. The track still has Heldens’s signature warped bass, but what is constantly in the focal point is an ominous sounding techno melody. As the song progresses percussion takes over and becomes the songs foundation.
HI-LO has been Heldens’s alias that he has produced techno under and the new track shows that his sound is evolving. He has had a busy summer with his record label hosting it’s own stage at Tomorrowland. ‘Ibiza 77‘, his most recent track, has also taken off with several remixes showing that popularity for the Dutch DJ is constantly growing.
Heldens is excited about his new project and openly admits that it is a new sound for him. This is a chance for artists to shine and you won’t want to pass up the opportunity to make this track real with him. You can make submissions for his track on his website and based on his previous productions whatever Heldens makes is bound to be a banger. Listen to track below and see if you have what it takes to make it a come alive.
