Earlier this year, EDM megastar Martin Garrix and global pop superstar Ed Sheeran teased a highly anticipated collaboration. The track, originally titled ‘Rewind Repeat It’, gained heavy momentum that started from rumors that the two stars were on the verge of releasing their new single. Those rumors were shut down just as fast as they were built up due to music label restrictions.
However, over the weekend Garrix and Sheeran registered the song with The American Society of Composers (ASCAP). The song shows up under the name ‘Replay Rewind’ and has Garrix and Sheeran listed as the songwriters. Whatever they did to get over the label legalities hurdle, we are all thankful.
This official unannounced title change out of nowhere is giving us a hope that ‘Rewind Repeat It’ might finally see the light of the day.
