In a brand new series on Viceland, James Van Der Beek stars as the EDM Superstar and member of Major Lazer, Diplo, in a series of episodes taking you through a comedic take on the day to day scenarios of the DJ. Executive produced by both James and Wesley, the series showcases the personality of Diplo himself if we were to take a dive into the superstars mind, as well as the way he reacts to certain situations. Fellow Mad Decent producer Dillon Francis also making an appearance in the series as “Jasper.”
The first episode begins with some pretty comical events, such as getting into a twitter feud with Calvin Harris in a huge back and forth of insults as Diplo felt Harris was being really lazy on his newly released track. The first episode also features Diplo taking a kid who he believes was part of the Little Wishers Foundation on the adventure of a lifetime, but ends in pretty hilarious fashion when a turn of events reveals he spent the day with the wrong (and not sick) kid.
