It’s 2017 and yet vinyl is making a major comeback, with vinyl producing factories coming online again after years of being ignored. In fact, the love for vinyl had returned with so much strength that a festival was planned solely around vinyl. The UK’s first vinyl festival, The Vinyl Festival, was set to take place at London’s Printworks in September.
However, The Vinyl Festival will unfortunately not live to see the light of day. The festival’s organizers took to Facebook to write:
“Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we’ve had to make the difficult decision to cancel the Vinyl Festival due to take place on 23rd and 24th September. It’s been a tough decision to make but sometimes even with the best laid plans these things happen.”
Everyone who bought tickets will be refunded within a 2 week period. Whether it will make another return remains to be seen.
