Sweater Beats And Hayley Kiyoko Debut ‘Glory Days’ Music Video
Sweater Beats just dropped his first music video ever, and it is a total treat. His new music video for the pop and R&B-tinged banger ‘Glory Days’ featuring singer and actress Haylee Kiyoko takes place in a glowing karaoke room and features an all-Asian cast. The celebratory video, directed by Brad Wong as well as produced by an Asian production team featured a number of prominent Asian musicians, dancers, and artists, including Far East Movement, Ellen Kim, Starro, The Kinjaz, and Lydia Paek.
Sweater Beats premiered the music video on Teen Vogue and spoke with them about the importance of Asian representation. “There aren’t a lot of videos like this, with an all-Asian cast, outside the K-pop and J-pop world,” he said. “As an Asian artist, I feel like I have a responsibility to represent the community however I can.”
‘Glory Days’ is the latest single from Sweater Beats’ new EP, For the Cold, released earlier this month through Big Beat Records.
