Today Michael Brun has released an official remix of One Republic’s recent single, ‘Lift Me Up’. Brun’s version injects energy into the track, with some signature synths and percussive that bring new life to the song. Brun had originally planned to release his as a straight forward official remix, but when Ryan Tedder of One Republic heard it, he decided to jump on it with him, and make a collaborative project. Of course, this is a huge win for Michael, and especially for his native country of Haiti. The remix utilizes Haitian sonics heavily, in the form of Rara and Kompa genres. Last year, the pop world dived into Jamaica with the explosion of dance hall. This year, it looks like it’s going to be Haiti.
