Miami’s most iconic nightclub is already coming up on its 10th season (feel old yet?). The nightclub that opened in 2007 and coined the infamous “living with my b*tches hashtag LIV” is celebrating its first decade in a big way. The club is one of the most famous in the world, but its once innovative design has begun to show its age a bit.
Next week the club will close for the entire summer to prepare for a $10 million renovation. The club’s owner hired a design firm called ICrave to oversee the new project, which should be done in time for a grand reopening in the fall. So what is in store during this renovation? LIV owner, Dave Grutman, promises massive LED walls and more than 400 LED panels. There will be a “soaring” project-mapped stage to allow DJs to create their own backgrounds. The biggest new addition is for the club’s famous overhead dome. There will be a massive “robotically controlled” LED chandelier that will move with the music. LIV hosts its closing events with Kaskade on July 1 and Kevin Hart on July 2. We can’t wait to see what’s in store.
