In its third year in 2016, Atlanta’s Imagine Festival took incredible strides of growth – Â relocating to a new venue (Atlanta Motor Speedway) that is quadruple the size of its first location (Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward Park) might have had something do with that. Despite the massive expansion, the inaugural Motor Speedway experience certainly left some things to be desired compared to more established festivals. This year, Imagine announced yet another incredible phase one lineup headlined by Above & Beyond, deadmau5 and Tiesto. They have further bolstered the lineup with the additions of Big Gigantic, Claude Vonstroke, Illenium, NGHTMRE and many more.
Imagine has consistently pulled in lineups with massive star power, but their shortcoming last year was too much open space in the new venue. Their challenge this year will be filling the massive motor speedway space with enough activities to entertain attendees while they are not at one of the stages. The additions of the phase two artists will certainly get ticket holders excited, and year two for any festival at any venue is often known as the year festivals put it all together to create a truly immersive experience.
