Xavier White – A Wonder
We were first turned on to New York-based singer/songwriter Xavier White back in 2016 when he released his debut EP Cancer vs. Gemini working alongside producer and songwriter Paul Couture. The two proved to be a dynamic duo by flexing excellent songwriting skills through narratives about love and life channeled in Xavier’s super smooth vocal deliveries. One true measure of talent is the ability to trigger a range of emotions within listeners, with that being said, it’s only a matter of time before Xavier White’s sound hits the masses.
Fast forward to 2017 and the duo once again linked up in SoHo with a house-infused track perfect for summer pool parties. Despite the pleasant sonic cocktail of Paul Couture’s production, what shines through most on “A Wonder” is Xavier’s secret weapon—the purity of his voice. The track tells the narrative of his ex-girlfriend coming back into his life out of the blue, however, the way he delivers it is intoxicating and endlessly repeatable. “Every night’s a wonder, a wonder with you…”
