Major Lazer – Run Up (4B Remix)
The song of the summer is without a doubt Major Lazers’ ‘Run Up’ feat. PARTYNEXTDOOR and the queen Nicki Minaj. It’s a record for clubs with a futuristic dancehall vibe to it…something progressive, something that feels like now. 23 year old Mad Decent producer DJ 4B recently decided to put his unique spin on the chart smashing song. The remix sounds like it drank a couple of cans of Red Bull, with a much faster BPM and pulsating Jersey Club drum programming. DJ 4B also has syncopated the vocals in the song to give it a more upbeat dance feeling. The second half is our personal favorite where he incorporates an infectious rave style melody behind the drop.
Hailing from New York, DJ 4B credits his musical influence to Diplo and DJ Snake among a few others. His first release was ‘Hold UP’ in 2013.
