Amsterdam Dance Event Changes Venue For 2017
The Amsterdam Dance Event is switching venues after 16 years in the Felix Meritis. The festival has grown since its inception in 1996 into an event that is acclaimed around the world. ADE is being relocated into the DeLaMar Theater for the 2017 rendition. Renovations on the Felix Meritis this upcoming fall are the reason behind the switch. The director of ADE, Richard Zijlma, made some comments on the move:
“Having been sold out for the last seven years, plus with more delegates coming from an ever greater number of countries, especially Korea, China, Africa, India and South America, the renovation of the Felix Meritis offers us an opportunity to try a different venue. We are excited and optimistic about the new conferencing and networking possibilities that the DeLaMar Theater offers, and we’re confident that delegates will find it a spectacular and inspiring space.”
The 22nd edition of ADE takes place October 18th-22nd with the Tolhuistuin, Brakke Grond, Melkweg, and DeLaMar Theater as venues. ADE also implemented a new ticketing system for this year along with the move. The new system allows people to choose either day or night passes along with a pass for both.
