Hard Summer has officially announced their 2017 lineup in honor of the festivals 10th anniversary, and it could be one of their most stacked lineups yet.
It’s been a decade since Gary Richards, more commonly known as Destructo, took his vision of creating something beyond the limitations of what people view as rave culture, and created Hard Fest. Richards and his team pride themselves on creating a space where more diversity is cultivated into their events, with rap and hip-hop, in particular, being the second major forefront at their festivals. In the past, we’ve seen rap and hip-hop icons like The Weeknd, Ice Cube, SchoolBoy Q, 2 Chains, and ASAP Mob tear down the stages of Hard Summer and this year will be no different. Hitting the stages this year are Mike Will Made It, Rae Sremmurd, Ty Dolla Sign, Migos JME, and of course, Snoop Dogg, who will be taking it back by performing his classic 1993 LP Doggystyle, keeping the diversity alive and well.
This year has some of electronic music’s most acclaimed artists and long time HARD family friends. Dog Blood, the Skrillex and Boys Noize super duo, are officially coming out of hiding since their last performance at Hard Summer in 2013, and headlining alongside artists like DJ Snake, Justice, Bassnectar, and Zeds Dead. As you trickle down the list of performers, you can see that Hard Summer isn’t holding back on the amount of talent they have booked this year. Although Hard has taken a few blows in the past, we have a feeling this year will be the comeback of a lifetime…or a decade.
Hard Summer returns to The Speedway in Fontana on August 5th & 6th. Get your tickets Friday, April 28th at 9 AM PT here!
