Cashmere Cat has finally released new details around his upcoming debut album. The LP was originally titled “Wild Love,” which is the name of a previously released single featuring The Weeknd.
The Norwegian DJ and producer took to Twitter Monday afternoon to announce that he has changed the project’s name to 9. He also noted that he had just finished the album that very morning.
Just this past week, Cashmere Cat delivered a brand new track called, “9 (After Coachella)” featuring MØ & Sophie – which may now be the title track of the album and could even offer a hint as to when the album will be released.
This isn’t the first time Cashmere Cat has used Twitter to announce some major album news. Back in February of last year, Cashmere Cat announced on the platform that he was working on his first album and that it was some of the best work he’s ever done.
He’s proven that by steadily releasing a series of standout tracks over the past year. Cashmere Cat has a live tour planned for the U.S starting April 12 in Dallas, Texas so we’re hoping to hear more live cuts from the album very soon.
