Rinzen – Renegade
Get ready for an artist on the rise with his first-ever original track and backing from mau5trap – Los-Angeles based artist Rinzen has debuted his new single ‘Renegade’ as part as mau5traps’ new artist compilation album, ‘We Are Friends Vol. 6.’
The track brings a deeper, darker side of techno to mautrap5 that strays from the artist’s previous release, a more upbeat remix of Giorgio Moroder. As you progress through the song you can pick up many of the influences infused into the piece, including Gessafelstein, Eric Prydz and, of course, deadmau5. It’s a musical journey, moving you through waves of peaks and lows with the levels it plays with – taking the idea of techno and morphing it into an entirely deeper, more intriguing and captivating level.
Rinzen’s goal with his music, as he writes, is “to merge the worlds of cinematic sound design and forward-thinking techno to create something that is truly awe-inspiring. ‘Renegade’ is the first step in that process.” We’re keeping an eye on this artist, as we know there will be many more steps in this direction to come.
