Chinese-American DJ/Producer ZHU continues to be the center of controversy and drama this week. His recent release of the track ‘Nightcrawler’ was followed by an allegation that he had stolen elements from Duke Dumont’s demo also entitled ‘Nightcrawler’. Duke Dumont posted the following tweets regarding the situation on twitter:
A demo i wrote 11 months ago for my album@ZHUmusic going to give you the benefit of the doubt, but the writer on your new record stole it. pic.twitter.com/m0mxFGTeK9

No proof has been found that ZHU actually stole from Duke Dumont but many fans and news outlets are stating that besides the name there are no similarities. ZHU’s track contains an eerie, horror-film vibe whose preview called out some of the top current djs including Marshmello, Kygo, The Chainsmokers, Alan Walker, Afrojack, Zedd, David Guetta and Steve Aoki.
Dumont claims the ‘vibe’ and the vocals werer stolen and ZHU’s response….

A tweet full of SHADE and no words. Clearly ZHU is standing his ground and denying that he stole. Is this a situation of coincidence or did he actually happen to steal from Dumont’s 11 month old demo? Take a listen to ZHU’s track below and decide.
