Gone are the days of needing to carry your wallet or fanny pack filled with cash: Visa is saving the day with its new product, Visa WaveShades.
The product is embedded with payWave – a credit card technology – so that you can use your sunglasses as a credit card instead. The system works in a way similar that phones work with contactless payment systems like with Apple Pay.
It premiered at Laneway Festival in Australia, where Visa actually gave away a few pairs that had $50 pre-loaded for attendees to use while at the event.
