Christine – Atom From Heart
Christine, an ironically feminine title for a male duo formed by Nico and Martin, has been experimenting with Electro since 2010, the golden age of the French Touch thanks to the release of the mystical Cross of Justice a few years earlier. Very much inspired by the visual aspect that the music reflects (the name comes from a film by the director-composer John Carpenter one of their major influences), the group had time to release a few remixes, four EP’s as well as the soundtrack of the thriller Sam Was Here. All these productions cultivate the same direction: dark Electro.
Most recently, the duo unveiled their first album Atom From Heart, composed of ten songs. The body of work falls in the same sonic space as their previous cuts – powerful and deep pulsating beats with clever notes of melodies such as “Over The Top” or “Drama,” a similar style to Kavinsky.
