The EDM community is mourning the loss of visual artist (VJ) Jonathan Bernbaum, who was among the 36 lives that were taken by the recent Oakland fire last week. He was on the list of missing victims until a more thorough search of the warehouse was done by fire officials over the weekend and was confirmed deceased the morning of December 4th.
Jonathan Bernbaum was a visual artist who worked primarily for Knife Party, as well as Markus Schulz and many more. Some of his friends and colleagues have released some sentimental statements in regards to his tragic passing:

The music community has lost a beloved artist, friend, and contributor. We send our condolences and regards to his family, friends, loved ones, and industry colleagues. There will be a candlelight vigil in his honor as his Alma Mater USC tonight, December 5th.
