The Chainsmokers Join The 1 Billion Views Club With “Closer”

Another tune to hit the 1 billion views club. We recently reported that Calvin Harris had two tracks within the last month reach the coveted milestone that once seemed so far away. He achieved the mark with “This Is What You Came For”, his collab with Rihanna and “Summer”. Not to be outdone, The Chainsmokers have decided to swoop in and join the party.

Their track with Halsey, “Closer”, has done it in a peculiar fashion by combining the collective Vevo views of the official music video and lyrical video. Overall, the song has amassed 100 million views on the official music video released in October coupled with the even more amazing 910 million views on the lyrical version.
