It’s that time of year, the Grammy nominations, where us dance music fans are reminded how little respect we usually get from the popular culture. After fighting for years, dance music has finally carved out a little niche for itself at The Grammy‘s, but we are still reminded of just how far we have to go to obtain mainstream acceptance. We still only get 2 categories that tend to miss out on a lot of great music, but we take what we can get. The Chainsmokers lead the pack with 3 nominations, while Flume and Skrillex each get 2 and Kaskade has 1. Here’s some of the dance music highlights.
