SoundCloud Releases New “Listening History” Feature

How often have you logged onto SoundCloud or opened the app on your phone to try to remember what track or set you listened to earlier that day? And – even worse – how often do you try, and completely forgot?

Yeah, me too.

The good news, though: SoundCloud has released a new feature on its web browser platform – listening history – that now keeps track of what you’ve listened to. On the right-hand side of the Stream page online, you’ll see it right underneath the “Likes” section. This homepage version of the list shows your three most recent listens.

If you’re looking to dig a little deeper, you can click on “View All” and it will bring you to an entirely new page that allows you to look at the past tracks, artists and playlists you’ve listened to. And, if you really want to, you can wipe your history completely.

Ideally this new feature will make listening – and keeping track of what you’ve listened to – much easier, as well as finding tracks you just discovered but lost or find “that one song whose name you can’t remember.” With this, we can also hope that we can look forward to the ability to see our history on the iOS and Android apps, as well as more features to roll out for the platform as well.
