An 11-page book from the cartoon misfits known as the Gorillaz is the latest engagement from the group that has been primarily silent over the last few years via their social media pages. The Book of Noodle, an adventurous story detailing her (Noodle) happenings after “the attack on Plastic Beach.” Without ruining the story, the general premise is that the main character runs into a shapeshifter named Mazuu, in which she must defeat by removing the head from the body or the other way around. Easier said than done with the narrator giving the perfect analogy “finding a shapeshifter is like looking for a beard at an Arcade Fire concert.” We’re over here just counting down the days until the long awaited slumber of the Gorillaz to be over. The group has suggested that a new album is coming soon, but for now, we’ll have to settle for some Noodle.
