Benjamin Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT recently made an announcement via Twitter regarding their return. While they previously stated they will come back in 2016, it appears that will not be happening. This is a huge bummer, as we even included MGMT in our “Look Out For These 7 Massive Comebacks In 2016” piece from earlier this year. With only three months left in the year, the psychedelic rock duo announced that they will be “re-dominating our mind holes in 2017.”
Fans finally have something to look forward to with this announcement. While they are not returning as fast as we would like them to, at least there is reassurance that the duo will release new music next year. The next question is when exactly will that music come out? While that is unsure, we are hoping that it will be sooner rather than later. For the time being, check out these classics from MGMT. “Electric Feel” and “Time to Pretend” perfectly exemplify the style of music we can expect in the future.
Meant to say MGMT re-dominates your mind hole in *2017
