Since first gracing our screens over 40 years ago, NBC’s Saturday Night Live has seen some of the most influential people in the world walk through its doors. Cultural icons from the areas of film, television, sports, music and more have taken a stab at the highly-coveted hosting duties and it looks like one of the funniest DJs in the industry is itching to join the illustrious club.
Yesterday, the SNL Twitter account asked who would like to see host one of this season’s episodes.

The help of his fans may not have been enough, but luckily, some of Dillon’s famous friends, such as Calvin Harris and Major Lazer, came to the rescue and showed their support for the cause.

Dillon Francis is already known and loved for his sense of humor and with some notable acting experience under his belt, we couldn’t think of a better fit for Saturday Night Live. With all this in mind, if everything goes according to plan and Dillon lands the hosting gig, will he double up as musical guest? We’ll have to keep tweeting to find out!
