The Chainsmokers feat. Haley – Closer (Remixes)
As is custom when a song busts the number one spot on Billboard, a plethora of people hop on the popularity bandwagon and remix it. Fortunately, however, a lot of these remixes really don’t suck. As in some quite frankly blow the original out of the water. Here are a few:
R3hab Remix:
Adding some tropical, groovy vibes for the intro, and a rough, grainy vocal chop on the drop, R3hab adds the perfect amount of new while keeping the essence of the track that made it so popular in the first place.
Huey Mack Remix:
Scrapping everything but the chorus and the melody for the drop, Huey Mack writes two rap verses on top on a pure guitar instrumental that completely flips the feel of the song from an almost cheesy romance, to a biting dialogue about lost love.
T-Mass Remix:
Layering dirty, rumbling bass line over a heavy kit of trap drums, T-Mass infuses enormous amounts of energy into build-up that leads to a thumping, Marshmello-esque drop complete with high pitched and shimmery vocal sampling.
