It’s always sad to see individuals from any walk of life go before their time. We sadly regret to have to inform our audience that one half of Climbers, Kiko Deal, has left this plane of existence. Climbers, based in Mexico but from Mexicali Baja California, Jay Blakk and Kiko Deal combined forces in 2011 after several years working individually. Their first release with Culprit LA titled “Law of Attraction” put them on the map and afforded them their first European tour in countries such as England, Spain, France , Portugal and Tunisia which led to tour dates in Central and South America.
The rest is history as they have gone on to perform in some of the world’s most regarded clubs and festivals as well as working with some of the biggest names in underground electronic music. Their classical house sound mixed with old school vocal sampling, ethereal synth designs and pounding basslines are what made them stand out in them creating a new sound for their country Mexico. Kiko, you will be sorely missed and hopefully Climbers continues to crank out those tunes that helped them rise to an elite level in the music industry.
