Another week, another Skrillex crossover collaboration. Artists from across the musical landscape are tripping over themselves to put their vocal chops on a Sonny produced track. Only just last week we told you about Skrillex and Diplo teaming up with rap duo Rae Sremmurd. This week, the Twittersphere is ablaze with positive reactions to an upcoming Skrillex & Bruno Mars collaboration. Much like the way we first heard about “Where Are U Now”, it comes from artist praise after Sonny passed the track around. It appears 12th Planet got an early look at the goods and loved what he heard, in a since deleted tweet.
Back in June Skrillex was interviewed by Billboard and was actually in the studio with Bruno during the interview. It appears the result was something special, indeed. If Skrillex got Justin Bieber to close out Ultra Music Festival, could we see Skrillex gracing the Super Bowl Halftime Show in the near future? A Bruno Mars collaboration could certainly be the ticket.
