After the huge announcement yesterday from Beatport detailing their intentions to discontinue their streaming service and mobile app, Beatport News, the video livestreaming platform and the events section as of May 13th, seemingly Spinnin’ Records and all of their subsidiary labels have been removed from Beatport. This is just the latest fall out from the SFX fiasco that led them to file bankruptcy, with Alda Events, a Dutch promotional company, picking up some of the assets such as Sensation Brazil, SFX Europe, and ID&T (Tomorrowland, Mysteryland, Sensation, and Amsterdam Music Festival) the huge dance music conglomerate had left in ruin in the wake of their fall from power. We’ll continue to keep an ear close to the ground concerning the situation.
UPDATE: Beatport clarifies that this was an error and will be fixed.
No labels have been banned from store. We’re investigating the issue and expect music from all labels to be available again in a few hours.
