Sonny Moore, better known by his stage name of Skrillex, announced this weekend that he will perform at the Reno Events Center on May 27th, 2016 in an event guaranteed to be ‘not your normal Skrillex show.’
The night will consist of music, art, vendors, live painting, art cars and numerous opportunities for fan participation, according to the event description.
The event will raise funds for a Burning Man art installation titled The Space Whale, a massive 50-foot stained glass humpback whale mother and calf. The piece will debut at Burning Man this year before traveling the globe to six countries. It is described as “more than an art piece… it is a movement.” Its combination of steel and glass creates a beautifully crafted testament to “family, our relationships with nature, time and space and our responsibility to preserve our environment.”
Tickets begin at $30, though the majority will be sold at $35.
