You may remember the unique presentation of the initial lineup release Electric Forest debuted in early February. Members of the “Forest Family” were mailed lineup invitations and tasked with creating a forest friendly way of revealing their names. This method, although entertaining, took place 2 months after the entire festival had already sold out. Proving exactly what we all already know….Electric Forest is magical.
Today, Electric Forest took the traditional route to post the Phase 2 lineup additions and revealed them on their website and social media channels. Adding acts like dubstep up-and-comer Getter; house acts Moon Boots and Filthy Gorgeous; glitch names like Bass Physics and Daily Bread; and even hip-hop styles from Prof and Futuristic.
Now, Forest is well known for its overall experience, good vibes, and festival attendees. But after a stellar headlining cast last year including, Bassnectar, Skrillex, Kaskade, Flume, Big Gigantic, and perennial act The String Cheese Incident, forest wanderers were expecting another grand reveal. However, no more headliners have yet to be revealed beyond the initial lineup.
Forest goers on the offical Reddit page seem to be split with the second phase, with some believing there’s a lot left to be desired from the lineup. Of course, repeat Forest attendees understand that this fest is much more than just the music being played. The cosmic vibes and the connections to Earth and one another are the true headliners of this festival, that is guaranteed to deliver a life-altering experience. Spread across 4 days and hundreds of acres, 150+ musicians and thousands of music lovers, wanderers, twirlers, and ragers will come together to witness the magic.
