During the height of the controversy, it was hard to open up your computer without reading a headline about Kesha and her battle against Dr. Luke and Sony. The pop star says she was sexually assaulted by her former producer and now, she is attempting to terminate her contract. The lawsuit already has a significant electronic music connection, as Zedd reached out to Kesha and offered to produce music for her. Unfortunately, some artists haven’t been as supportive and Chris Chronicles of DVBBS is one of them.
Earlier this morning, one half of the Canadian duo took to Twitter to shares his thoughts on the issue:
Chris’ tweet was met with a considerable amount of backlash, forcing him to somewhat backtrack on his previous statements and offer a mediocre apology:
The tweets have since been deleted, but luckily for us, some quick-fingered folks were able to snag some screenshots. This isn’t the first time that people have accused Kesha of lying. As Chris Chronicles mentioned during his questionable rant, “no one knows other than the people” involved. That being said, it is probably best to refrain from making degrading statements when you have a Twitter following of almost 50,000 people. There is a good chance it’s not going to go over well.
