Bassnectar, born as Lorin Ashton, is a DJ known for his diverse live performances, which include some insane light shows and visuals. However, earlier this month, he was accused of using visuals that were not his own. This news understandably caused a public debacle because of how important visuals have been for a true Bassnectar experience as well as Lorin’s beliefs surrounding artistry.
Bassnectar then issued an official apology on Facebook, crediting the artist Max Hattler for his work.
“Instead of making a bunch of excuses or anything, i just really want to step up, and make a heartfelt apology to max. I have reached out personally to him to make it right by him.”
