Uk crossover band Rudimental have today announced a U.S tour that will see them play four shows alongside compatriots Gorgon City. Epic.
Of course, if you’re familiar with either of these bands, you’ll know that they are undoubtedly one of the best live shows in music. Rudimental has always taken a live show first approach to their careers, and it’s paid off in spades on the music end, too – they are one of only a handful of electronic acts to firmly cross over into top 40 radio. Their hit single, “Lay it All On Me”, which featured pop machine Ed Sheeran, was one of the highest streamed tracks in music last year, also topping out at #15 on top 40.
Gorgon City is a quintessential UK band, birthed out of grimy London clubs and the embers of the garage movement. Their song with Jennifer Hudson last year, ‘Ready For Your Love’, was big enough to nab them a Jimmy Kimmel performance last year. The tour will hit Central Park in NYC on the 18th, and then continue around to LA, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Oakland, all in late May.
