Details Announced For Electric Forest Offshoot Festival, Vertex
James Harmon
A few days ago, we reported that Madison House, the organizers behind Electric Forest, were bringing a proper camping festival to the great state of Colorado. At the time, there weren’t many specifics other than the location, a 274-acre ranch in Buena Vista, approximately 120 miles southwest of Denver.
Yesterday, the festival name, more info on the venue and an initial lineup were released. Vertex draws from the eclectic, featuring jam bands, hip hop, house and other electronic live acts.
Cottonwood Meadows is a ranch a mile from downtown Buena Vista with the event grounds nestled along the banks of Cottonwood Creek. Using the allure of the famous forest of the parent festival, a natural landscape with a healthy helping of tall cottonwoods encompassed by the snowcapped Collegiate Range in the background.
Non-musical activities include the many parks surrounding the area, exploring downtown Buena Vista, spending time by the creek or dancing at The Village in Base Camp and rafting the Arkansas river amongst other options.
Taking place from August 5th-7th, Vertex tickets go on sale March 25th with more info about the festival easily obtained on their official website.
