Excitement is reaching a fever pitch as deadmau5 prepares to do the unthinkable and perform during A State Of Trance at Ultra Music Festival. Adding to the excitement is Joel’s recent musical experimentation all over his SoundCloud. What could he possibly do to crank it up another notch? Rework his very own classic, “Strobe“, for Mau5trap‘s 100th Release.
This weekend the Mau5 took to Instagram to give us a glimpse into the special rework, still in progress. Could this be 20 minutes long like the special Guvernment closing show or something totally different? One thing is for sure, there is a ton of insane unreleased music deadmau5 could play for his ASOT audience in Miami.
UPDATE:
While we’re not entirely sure if this version will serve as the 100th release, deadmau5 has indeed uploaded a fun little edit of “Strobe” to SoundCloud. Joel fittingly titled this mesmerizing rework “eborts” (“Strobe” spelled backwards) and you can listen to it below.
