When it comes to deadmau5 at Ultra Music Festival, fans never know what they’re going to get. A few years ago, he convinced Zedd to streak on stage during his set. In 2014, he trolled Martin Garrix and Avicii by dropping quirky edits of their songs. It seems like Joel has brought his unpredictable nature to Ultra 2016, as last night, he filled in for The Prodigy after the group was forced to cancel its headlining performance. deadmau5 ended up throwing down one of the best sets of the festival, but he wasn’t done there.
For today’s performance at Armin van Buuren’s ‘A State of Trance’ stage, deadmau5 decided to wrap things up by saluting legendary metal group Motörhead. Lead singer Lemmy passed away late last year and the Canadian producer honored his memory by ending his set with one of his band’s greatest hits in “Ace Of Spades”. Check out the clips below to relive one of the cooler moments of Ultra Music Festival 2016.
Well… More of that I guess… I’ll switch it up and finish it off with some Australian black metal. https://t.co/bnc9ZC1oH5
