909 Til Infinity – Get Up
A few concepts come to mind when 909 Til Infinity is brought up. Synchronicity and danceability are high on the list. Since their accidental hang out turn studio session just over a year ago, option4 and MANIK have both taken off respectively and together. Coincidence?
Just over a year ago I walked into Maniks studio in LA just to hang out with an afternoon I had off. Randomly we just started messing around and in less than 3 hours we wrote this tune. From top to bottom. It was so painless and easy and free and fun that I think it sparked a creative bridge that both of us needed at the time. It was so fun working together that we decided to make it an actual duo. A real project. – option4
Onto their third release following the Bee Dee and Don’t Clock Me Out EP’s, which were signed to Treasure Finger’s Psycho Disco label, “Get Up” is a tad bit special. Being the tune that brought together the partnership, NYC based Nurvous Records picked it up, being aligned to their style. The vocal stems come together to create an addictive hook while the bass line swoons the listening audience, encompassing it’s own dominating presence amongst the other layers.
Their first 2 EP’s have seen support from industry heavy weights Dusky, Anna Lunoe, Chris Lake, Shiba San, Ellen Allien and others, so expect the same kind of response from the public since this has had a whole year rinsing in the hands of the industry DJs.
