Mercer – Opium
Tchami quickly proved himself a force to be reckoned with in the dance music industry with an impressive body of work and his innovative Confession record label. Purveyors of unique and fresh sound, Confession smartly picked up French producer and DJ Mercer, who is set to release the labels second EP. “Opium“, the title track of the upcoming EP, was first featured in Tchami’s “What to Expect” mix commemorating the label’s launch, and is finally here after whetting fans’ appetites with that brief teaser. Featuring Mercer’s most explosive drop to date, “Opium” is both grimy and glitchy, and is well suited for main stage exposure. The impressive track manages to incorporate a diverse array of sounds, including a kick drum, a healthy dose of synths, and even a melodic piano riff. “Opium” is available now, and should serve to sufficiently hype up Mercer fans ahead of the full EP’s release next week.
