A few months back Martin Garrix had a less than amicable breakup with the record label that started it all for him. He left Spinnin’ Records and their associated management group to break out on his own, and now he has some company. His longtime BFAM Julian Jordan announced that he is jumping ship as well. Only minutes later, producer Mike Hawkins made the same announcement with almost the same language.
One would have to assume that the two producers are acting in unison, and probably headed towards whatever new label/venture that Martin Garrix has cooking. Spinnin’ Records has encountered an awkward phase in the transition from Big Room to Future House, and some artists seem to have felt that their creativity was being stifled. It’ll be interesting to see whether Julian Jordan produces more interesting new music with Revealed or whoever else he works with going forward.
I’d like to inform all of my fans and followers that i won’t continue my deal with Spinnin’ Records and their management…
