Electronic music will finally be given the recognition it deserves with an awards show on a major network. TV4 Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company, and trance legend Paul Oakenfold are joining forces to present The Electronic Music Awards & Foundation, a celebration of electronic music’s top acts, producers, creatives and trailblazers. The awards show will take place at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles on April 14, and will air Saturday, April 23rd at 8pm (ET/PT) on FOX for one hour.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of an awards show that finally both recognizes and celebrates, on a primetime platform, one of the biggest music genres in the world today” said Oakenfold.
EMAF will have the biggest electronic dance music artists be a part of red carpet coverage, awards presentations, and, the best part, live performances. The awards show is giving fans a chance to vote on their favorite electronic music act February 15th via their official website.
