Kygo is setting expectations high with his personally curated Cloud Nine Music Festival. After returning home from touring North America, the Norwegian tropical mastermind has officially announced that he’s trying to 1-up himself. Last year, Kygo took over a hotel. This year, he’s setting his sights on the Bergenhus Castle & Fortress (photo below), located in Bergen, Norway. The Cloud Nine Music Festival will take place on Saturday, August 20th.
The Fortress is currently occupied by about 150 personnel from the Royal Norwegian Navy, but that doesn’t seem to deter Kygo from invading the almost-800 year old military structure. Thinking outside the box is vital to the survival of the electronic music scene. Artists, like Kygo, are continuing to push the limits of music and event production.
