3LAU – Dance Floor Filth Five
To commemorate his 25th birthday, 3LAU released his latest mashup and remix compilation, Dance Floor Filth Five. Longtime fans will recall that Las Vegas-native Justin Blau made his name on the internet with expertly polished mashups of popular mainstream hits and some of EDM’s biggest anthems. These collections, titled Dance Floor Filth, rocketed 3LAU from an internet-based mashup artist to a full fledged DJ and producer, playing gigs at the biggest music festivals and most illustrious nightclubs.
3LAU’s latest offering evidences that the former mashup master hasn’t lost his touch. The 10-track compilation features some of the last year’s biggest mainstream hits expertly combined with some of 3LAU’s own original tracks and remixes, as well as a few other dance artists’ most popular songs of late. Examples include Walk the Moon’s huge “Shut Up and Dance” combined with 3LAU’s own remix of Blinder’s “Always,” (“Always Dance”) and “Say Hello,” which sees Adele’s latest smash hit with an Odesza twist. Dance Floor Filth Five also includes 3LAU’s remix of Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches,” as well as an original remix of Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” which should prove to be huge.
