K Theory – Wonderful World ft. Simply Rick
As the holiday season dawns upon us once again, it is important to take a step back and realize that Christmas is more than just giving and receiving presents. The holidays are a time to celebrate life, love, and family; it is a time to treasure what we already have and give to others who do not have quite as much.
The men of K Theory have shown that they clearly understand that by giving Simply Rick a second chance at starting a long overdue career. In 2014, they came across a homeless man in his late 50’s singing covers on the streets of San Francisco. Upon hearing his voice, they gave him all the money in their wallets to buy a microphone and speakers, and later decided to give him the chance to fulfill his dreams of singing in a recording studio. They have since then recorded a cover of Sam Cooke‘s “Wonderful World” and are planning on releasing an EP with Simply Rick next year.
“Wonderful World” is the first song from K Theory’s 25 Days of Kristmas, a campaign in which they will share a new song everyday. After receiving great feedback from last year’s edition of this project, they have decided to bring it back once more in 2015. Aside from their cover with Simply Rick, they will also be giving away a number of original tracks and remixes, including Eiffel 65’s “Blue”, “No Chill” by Skrillex and Vic Mensa, and tracks from OG Maco and Steve Aoki.
