Ferry Corsten’s Gouryella Set to Make Stage Debut

Gouryella
Trance legend, Ferry Corsten, has been killing it this year through various aliases and styles. He’s released Hello World EP Parts 1 and 2, with teasers already out for the third one set to be released December 11th. He also just released a single two weeks ago with Markus Schulz as New World Punx titled “Bang.” While there was significant hype surrounding his collaborative alias with Markus Schulz, his old alias Gouryella with Tiesto is on a different plane. The two began releasing as Gouryella back in 1999, until Tiesto left to focus on his solo career. While Ferry released one more song in 2002, there were no releases under the alias until six months ago, when Ferry was inspired by a nostalgic uplifting trance melody that he turned into “Anahera.”

While his fans were ecstatic over Gouryella’s first release in 13 years, they now have reason to be even more excited. Ferry just announced that he will be introducing his beloved project to live audiences, as Gouryella will make its stage debut in 2016. Ferry explained his love for the project and its classic trance sound:

“I’ve always loved the musical qualities that make up the Gouryella sound, and in the time when so much trance is swaying too far to EDM, I want to bring big melodies back to a scene I’ve spent my entire career championing. Gouryella will allow me the opportunity to exercise not only my desire to bring back a sentiment to the scene that I think is lacking in some parts, but equally deliver a new live concept that will represent both the music and visuals, as well as enable me to detail further the mysterious naming which has always made up Gouryella and the titles of the singles.”
