HI-LO – Ooh La La
It’s safe to say that 2015 was the year of Oliver Heldens. Not only did the Dutch wunderkind spearhead the rise of future house from that of an emerging genre, into a sound that is here to stay. In addition to this, Heldens also started his own record label, Heldeep Records, while still finding time to deliver quality releases. Earlier this year, Oliver Heldens made waves with his newly-created HI-LO moniker, which allowed him to experiment into the realm of bass house, while still maintaining his original moniker.
“Ooh La La” is Heldens’ latest HI-LO release, and it harkens back to the early days of electronic music when there was an emphasis put on the groove, rather than the energy. The track is signature HI-LO through and through, as the bare-bones arrangement is driven by rolling percussions and an extremely-modulated bassline. Check out “Ooh La La” below and purchase the track when it drops on December 7th.
