19-year-old Toronto based producer Krs. has garnered quite the devoted fanbase in the past year, much thanks to the founding of his collective Film Noir with fellow musicians Oshi and BNJMN, as well as the release of countless remixes and originals that cater to music enthusiasts around the world. His latest two releases, “Bend Ova” and “Faking It,” are yet another step in the right direction for this rising Canadian star.
“Bend Ova” is a bouncy dancehall-influenced heater featuring crisp low-end tones, vigorous snares and vocal samples from J Capri’s dancehall hit “Boom and Bend Over.” The track was inspired by the sounds & styles of Sam Gellaitry and Monte Booker and is yet another dazzling addition to the ever-expanding sound library of Krs. His second new release, “Faking It” is the first cut from Krs.’ debut S.I.W.A.H. EP, and is a full team effort from the Film Noir squad, showcasing Krs. and his team’s boundless creativity. The track features production from Krs., BNJMN, and Mars Today to complement the lush vocals and verses from Maurice Moore, Khary, and BNJMN. Check both of Krs.’s fresh, new tracks below!
