Not too long ago, we lauded the troubled TomorrowWorld for what appeared to be surprise full refunds for many of its guests. The move generated a lot of goodwill from attendees and observers a like, winning over some of the biggest naysayers. As it turns out, the celebration may have been a bit premature and the festival is in the proverbial doghouse once again. The reason for this is actually a bit of simple banking. To give 1/3 refund, it was apparently easier to refund the entire ticket and subsequently make a new charge at the lower price. This latest miscommunication problem has angered fans, as some of them spent the money they were given right away. Some have even complained that they drained their bank accounts and are now being slapped with overdraft charges due to the new charge. However, we can’t feel too sorry for people who spent that money so fast assuming they pulled a fast one on the festival. While the mix up makes TomorrowWorld look bad again, the organizers are still living up to their responsibility and fans should remember that TomorrowWorld is a business that needs to make some money to return next year.
This is the message that refunded attendees received:
Hello,
You may have noticed on your credit card statement that you were refunded the full amount of your TomorrowWorld Full Madness Pass or Passes. In accordance with the TomorrowWorld Ticket Refund policy, found here, 1/3 of your ticket price will be refunded, not the entire amount. Since we refunded the full ticket price, we will now charge 2/3 of the ticket price separately again. We will strive to have both transactions be part of a single month’s statement so no additional action is required from your side.
We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences this may cause you.
If you have questions please do not hesitate to contact us via our online contact form.
Kind regards,
Paylogic
