Almost 11 years ago, Mansion Nightclub of Miami first opened its doors, taking over the club previously known as Level. In recent times, the club has seen stagnant sales, which have resulted in the announcement of its closing. The original owners, the Milon brothers, bailed about six months back, leading way for new owners Luis Puig of Space and Justin Levine to take over. The Opium Group, which was headed by Roman Jones, owned Mansion, Cameo, Opium, SET and Mokai at its peak, but has now been replaced by Icon Management. The owners, of Mansion, Icon Hospitality, recently had to let go of Cameo Nightclub, demonstrating their financial dilemmas. The news does not come as shocking, after the company was forced to pay almost $5 million in a settlement after a clubgoer was attacked by Cameo security on New Year’s Eve.
While the club is not officially closing this weekend, they have declared it the ‘closing weekend’ with Nicky Romero set to perform one last time at the iconic nightclub. Over the years, many of the world’s largest acts took the Mansion Nightclub decks, including Zedd, Hardwell, Skrillex, Above & Beyond and many more. Its ornate interior, decorative aerial dancers and fun times will be missed, but the club is set to reopen in the future as Icon.
