Dubai To Host Major EDM Conference

Blue Leaf, a music consultancy firm, has announced plans for Dubai‘s debut music conference. The incredibly wealthy city, located on the coast of the United Arab Emirates, one of the world’s richest countries, has become a major tourist destination in recent years, due in part to its excellent nightlife. With a booming nightlife industry and the area’s newfound embrace of EDM, Blue Leaf felt as though Dubai would be the perfect location for a Winter Music Conference-style event.

The conference will take place February 18th and 19th at the JW Marriott Dubai and will feature “electronic music’s leading thinkers, artists, global brands and technology pioneers,” according to Digital Production Middle East, as well as a music festival to accompany the event. Blue Life’s director, Cory Gibbons, explained:

“With the flock of A-list DJs that regularly play the city’s superior clubs and venues, it is no wonder Dubai is steadily making its mark on the global dance music scene. As a leading business and entertainment destination, Dubai presents the perfect location for the region’s first electronic music festival.”
